Spring 2007 the group of DT (digital tectonics) explores the structural potentiality of recycled and recyclable material component produced by a local industrial unit in Barcelona.
The attempt was to push the component out of its functional and structural status and to explore different applications in different scales. Moving away from its functional presence as a seat component the group explored its geometrical and structural potential as a self supporting structure. Exploring the aesthetics of an assembly that can not be reduced to its element but can produce emergent behaviours. DT
